15 Years into Time and all Eternity

This evening we had some special visitors. Steve's Aunt Michelle and Uncle David and cousin Jazzy were driving through Twin and they stopped by. I am thankful for their thinking of us and stopping to say hi as they drove through. Unfortunately, Steve is out of town on a business trip and missed them. They are on their way to Manti, Utah for Jazzy's wedding. Their visit brought back special memories for me as 15 years ago, Steve and I were married in the Manti Temple.

On August 4th, Steve and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. I cannot believe how time flies. As I think back over the past years, I think of so many things. It seems good memories stand out, sad, scary moments bring a gush of gratitude and the moments that I felt the world was coming to an end, don't even make a dent.

We began our adventure in Florida...its amazing how I love and cherish those memories of our first years together. They were tough in the beginning...I was so homesick. Thanks, Steve for putting up with me and making me stick it out. I grew to love it. I'll never forget the mixed feelings I had the day the moving truck pulled up to our house. My wish was coming true...we were leaving FL but I was so sad. I truly cherish the memories we have from the Deseret Cattle and Citrus Ranch. I sometimes wonder how our life would be had we stayed...it would have been a wonderful place to raise our family. I love the people we met while down there. I still think of so many of them as family. We spent so many holidays and special events together...they were family.

Then came Oklahoma...I think our toughest years. Between school, raising a family, wild health scares, etc. it was tough. When I went back to get Steve a few weeks ago, we drove by our old house, good memories but not exactly nostalgic. As my friend Shauna would say, "Good character building days" :)

It's now been almost 6 years since we moved to Idaho. I love Idaho. For our anniversary, we went to dinner at a restaurant that sits on the canyon rim. We sat outside and the patio overlooks the canyon, we could see into the canyon, the big bridge, the water fall, the Snake River below; it was perfect. I loved getting to spend a quiet, beautiful evening with my husband.

I am thankful for every minute of the 15 years we have had together, and I look forward to an eternity of anniversaries with you, Steve. I love you!
