Chase's Time in CO
Chase had a fun time with Grandma and Grandad and cousins in Colorado the month of June. Here Grandma took them to the Indian Ruins...aka...Lowry Ruins.

Trace's Kindergarten Graduation

Trace finished his Kindergarten year in style. It was the cutest graduation ever (yes, I decided I better get this posted before 1st grade starts in a mere few weeks!)
Sad Mommy moment...I carefully recorded the whole thing then when I got home, nothing was there! The tape jammed and was in 2 pieces. I was so sad...I have tried to get another copy but so far one hasn't come to be.
Then this picture was blurry...Sigh...Oh well. It was beautiful!

Then this picture was blurry...Sigh...Oh well. It was beautiful! The morning their big pictures were taken Trace got up and got dressed in his best shirt and jeans, belt, buckle, boots and hat (had mom let him). He said he wanted to look his best. Miss Carroll, his teacher told me when I picked him up that day, that when she told him to put the cap and gown on Trace said, "if I have to wear that, why did I get all dressed up???" She thought it was pretty cute.

My youngest sister, Julie got married. We were lucky enough to get to be with them on their special day. Charlee was the flower girl!

Idaho Splendor

On Mother's Day after church we went for some sight seeing around our beautiful valley we live in. Twin Falls is world famous for its water falls on the snake river. Here's some pictures of some of the falls at their best as the snow was melting and we have had nice rains this spring. If you ever come through here, stop and call us! We'd love to show you some beautiful sights!

Normally I don't like pg pictures but I went ahead and kept this one because really I don't have many pictures of me pregant.
It was a beautiful day
There's so much water coming down!
Trace found a big rock!
This is called Cauldron Lyn, not a major waterfall but a place where the river is like a lake on top and then gets pretty narrow and alot of water is forced between the rocks. Steve says when the water isn't so high this looks to be about a 20-30 foot drop. That should give you an idea how high the water is!

Steve and the kids found a hole by the edge, it was kind of nerve racking having them that close to the edge! But a worthy kodak moment

A note about what's happening...I have gotten behind on my posting. School has ended, I need to get Trace's Kindergarten graduation photos posted. Summer life is in full swing. The kids are swimming, we have had one successful swim meet. Hopefully I will get that posted soon. Chase is still in Colorado. 4 weeks is a long time when you don't have one of your kids around! Yesterday I put 23 pints of strawberries in the freezer. Those will be yummy this winter! Today Steve and I spent the day golfing at a company event. My first time golfing beyond mini golf...it was interesting to say the least! Had a fun time with a nice steak dinner to end the day. At the moment my family is enjoying a soak in the hot tub...I can't soak (miss those nightly soaks!) but I am going to go soak my feet!

From the mouthes of babes...
This past weekend we had the great experience of going to my hometown in Colorado and being with my little sister as she got married. It was so fun to see family and friends! Yesterday, we hurried home to finish school and start the summer and as we were driving across the Utah desert I realized there's nothing like having kids to entertain you on a long drive! Trace was full of one liners! We laughed so much. A few of his most memorable comments...
Charlee, age 3, was singing "The Wheels On The Bus" and was on the verse of "the mama's on the bus go shh, shh, shh". She then said "that's what mom will say when the baby is born." I said " yea I will say shh, Charlee don't wake the baby" Charlee says "I have been the baby since I was born" to which Trace, age 6, pipes in "Charlee you weren't born, we found you underneath a rock!" Oh my goodness where did he come up with that? It was too funny albeit at Charlee's expense! Charlee spent the next several miles chanting "I was not under a rock, I was not under a rock"!
The next comical comment came as the kids had a challenge who could spot the first train. Megan found the first train then the challenge was to spot the first moving train. A few miles down the road Trace spots some train cars parked on the track. Megan says but those aren't moving. Trace as he's looking out the window as we pass the train cars says, "now that's what I call an 'obstacle illusion'. Holy cow, I didn't even know my 6 year had ever even heard the term 'optical illusion', let alone knew how to use it in the correct context! I've said it before, nothing gets past that kid! He's sharp as a tac!
It was a great weekend, I loved being with my sister on her special day. Loved seeing family and friends. Thanks to everyone for a fun weekend. We also enjoyed spending a fun time visiting and having a sleepover with our Bangerter aunt, uncle and cousins on Thursday night. A special thanks to them for allowing us to have a fun stop along the way! They even treated us extra special Sunday afternoon with waffles, strawberries and whipcream! Yummy! Thanks so much!

It's a....
GIRL!!! I am totally surprised. I was so sure we were having a boy I would've put money on it! But no boy parts were visible and believe me our boys are proud of their manhood so as Steve said, "there were no boy parts hiding!" So Jen and Xela along with our little Charlee and Grandma Oliver, you were right! Yea, a little girl. I'm really going to have to get up early on Sunday mornings to get another head of hair done! At least Megan is old enough to do her own! I'm surprised but getting excited. I do love pink!
Trace was cute a couple days ago he said he wanted a little brother to teach how to play soccer and baseball. I hope he gets to where he thinks its ok to teach another little sister how to do those things. The age difference between Trace and this one hopefully will make them close. Chase and Charlee are about the same age difference and they are very close! And Charlee will have a little sister to grow up with. I hope they are always best friends!

7 Days!
The countdown is on...7 days until we get the ultrasound and hopefully find out what our baby is! The kids ask me daily how much longer. Next Thursday May 14 is the day. Heard the heartbeat again today...ahh no matter how many times you've done this, there is nothing more magical. You can't help but fall in love! I'm in love! Everyone in our house says boy except Charlee and she is still holding out for a girl. What's your guess?
