Look Mom I Lost My First Tooth!

Trace lost his first tooth!

He came to me and said Mom my tooth is so loose it hurts, so I sat him on my lap and pulled it right out!

Later this afternoon he comes to me and says:
Trace: Mom I lost a tooth.
Mom: I know, I pulled it out remember.
T: No, I lost another one!
M: You did not.
T: Yes I did
M: You don't loose 2 teeth at the same time.
T: Here it is see!

Sure enough, 2 teeth lost in one day!

Another Birthday!!

Chase's Birthday # 11

On September 24th, Chase turned 11 years old!

Piano Recital

Megan had her piano recital on Thurs May 22. It was a great evening. It's a great group of kids and an exceptional teacher! They all did such a good job. Megan played 2 songs.

Megan forgot parts of the song. She was disappointed in her performance. I tried to make her feel better, but she's always hard on herself when she doesn't feel she met her own expectations. These are the same songs she played for the Music Festival in March and received a "Superior Rating". She had them memorized really good for that and over the past couple months slacked off on her work on them. All but one of the girls Megan's age and older forgot parts of their songs. All in all they did great.

We miss you Steve! Yesterday morning Charlee said "my daddy needs to come home". Then yesterday afternoon she said, "mom, I miss dad". I said you wanna call him? She said yes. So Charlee had a nice "short" conversation with her dad on the phone. Thank goodness for cell phones : )

Have a great weekend everyone. Our neighbors invited us to go camping with them, but I don't feel up to that project by myself with 4 kids so we'll stay home and have a quiet weekend. We are going to rent National Treasurer 2 Book of Secrets! Can't believe only 1 more week of school left!

Conference Track Meet

Megan had her final track meet today, it was her conference finals. She is exhausted! She had a great day though. I will post the video I took again so everyone (especially her Daddy) can see how great she did. It's fun watching her.



Megan got the "hole shot"! Trace thinks motorcycles in everything. Megan was running the 2nd heat of the 100M hurdles here. She took first in the heat. She took 3rd overall in the conference. She also beat the 7th grade (boys & girls!) Robert Stuart Record with a time of 18.3 seconds. The previous record was 18.7. So Megan's name gets on the big board in the hall at school!! How exciting is that?



This is the 4x2 relay, Megan ran the 3rd leg, they placed 4th.



Megan running the 400 meter. She was in the 2nd heat placed 1st, way out in front! Her time was 1:10 (one second from the school record). She placed 4th overall in the conference.



This was the medley relay. Megan's team got a bad start, apparently some woman walked across the track in front of Kennedy, our first leg and so she had to slow down to avoid hitting her. If you watch close, you can see Megan pass from 4th place into 3rd place right at the end. Sorry the video is not the best, there was people standing all over. They came in 3rd overall.

It was a fun, warm exciting day bringing Megan's 7th grade athletics to an end!
