We had a sad week...On Tuesday Chase's dog Maisy got hit by a car and died. We were all really, really sad, we love her so.
She was an English Pointer and an awesome dog. The boys couldn't wait to take her out Pheasant Hunting (the season opened this weekend) We had just let her out to get some exercise and she got hit. It completely resolved our commitment to get outa' town! We have to get some space for our kids and pets to roam. Maisy was a wonderful pet. She was so kind, I loved watching Charlee put her arms around her neck and Maisy would just stand there and let the kids mug on her. She made Chase so happy and loved him to death. Every day 5 minutes before he came home from school she would get so excited and if he was a minute late she would start howling. She was a very intelligent dog. Chase would take her back to the field behind our subdivision and she would run and run. She would just run laps around him but always came right back to him. She amazed me, she would jump and clear our 6 ' fence. Definately not a dog for being in town. I'm so sorry we lost you before we got the space you needed.
To top the bad week off...Megan broke her finger in Basketball practice on just the 3rd day of practice. She has to see an Orthopedic surgeon on Monday because she broke it on the growth plate...we'll see if they cast it or just keep the splint on. Hopefully she won't miss too much of the season! Cheers to a better week ahead :)
